If you are like me then many times the concept of exercising is just not that great. It can be hard work and it can get boring over time. I have found that if I can keep things fresh and mix it up a bit then I do not mind exercising. Once you lose your commitment it can be difficult to even get off the couch and that can be trouble. There are quite a few things that I like to do to keep things fun and unique and one of those is using a hula hoop.

Hula hoop exercises really work so much of your body and once you try it you will agree. One of the great things about hula hoop exercises is that they target those really difficult areas to tone. You know the places that I am talking about. The belly inner legs the backs of your legs and you butt. These are usually the trouble areas that everyone wants to work on and using a Hula hoop targets all of them at once. You can’t beat that One simple piece of exercise gear that works all of those areas at once. Now I know what you may be thinking. Using a hoop is hard. I never could get them to work when I was a kid but today it is a different story.

In order to take advantage of the benefits of using a hula you are going to need a weighted hula hoop. They really make hooping so much easier. Once you get your weighted hula hoop make sure that you have plenty of space to use it. They can be quite huge and you don’t need to knock nearly anything off the corners once you get started hooping.

In the beginning take it slow. Using a weighted hula hoop can really work your key and if you over do it you will be very sore. For me I started using it for only one to two minutes at a time and even that really made my abs sore the next day. Start off small and work your way towards more. With weight loss and exercise it is always best to set scaled-down more realistic objectives.

Another great benefit of hula hoop exercise is the simple fact that it is so easy to do and it is so much fun You will not even know that you are exercising. I just put on some of my favorite music put the hoop around my belly and start moving my hips in a circle. It’s just that easy. Now I will admit that the first few times it did not go well. The hoop fell right to the floor but in less than 5 minutes of practice I had it down and was shortly hooping my way to a thin flat belly.

Does it work Try it yourself for two weeks for only 1-2 minutes a day and see what your body tells you. Mine tells me that it works and now my mirror does too This is not some wacky exercise trend or lose weight quick scheme but if you do your hula hoop exercises regularly along with good enjoying habits you will in the near future see a thinner healthier you.

How to Hula Hoop -
Stand up straight, keeping your feet slightly apart. Depending on your skill level, it may be helpful to place one of your feet faintly in front of the other.
Hold the hula hoop with both hands and place it around your waist and against your back.  Lightly twirl the hula hoop in a counterclockwise motion with your hands and let go.  To keep the hoop going, move your body forward and back with the hoop’s rotation.  If you keep your swinging steady, the hula hoop should spin around just above your hips.  It may take some practice to keep the hula hoop in rotation for long periods of time, but keep practicing and you will have it down soon!
